Kruger sightings: 11 - 16 November 2011

Friday, November 18th, 2011

Our Kruger sightings are as brilliant as ever!

In the past week our guides saw the Big 5 with every group of guests! The big breeding herds of elephant are still around as the real rains have yet to come. With the little rain that has fallen, some of the impalas have given birth, but the majority of them are still holding out for more rain. The veld is slowly turning green and is offering fresh shoots of grass for animals such as zebra and wildebeest.

Sightings 2 & 3 July 2011

Monday, July 4th, 2011

Good morning! With winter in full swing, there can simply not be a better place to be than in the bush! Everything seems to be crisper and cleaner and the animals’ expressions of “making it through another night” or “having been able to feed their young” is so much more noticeable! Needless to say the game viewing is exceptional!

Mike has 2 pax on a Kruger / Sabi Sands combo and thus far they have had great sightings including elephant, buffalo, white rhino, hippo, impala, kudu, giraffe, monkeys, baboons, thick tailed bush baby and fish eagles. More sightings should be incoming on this trip!

Sightings 29 & 30 Jun 2011

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

With 2 guides and one of our owners in the Kruger Park over the past two days, the sightings have been excellent!

Leonard saw elephant, giraffe, buffalo, impala and hippo on his way to Letaba, as well as a hyena with some really tiny pups!

Hielke is still on safari and yesterday they found elephant, white rhino, cheetah, ground hornbill, giraffe, burchells coucal and last to top it all off was a black rhino! A great drive!
