Good morning from a rather chilly Johannesburg!
With snow in many parts of our beautiful country, at least the Kruger Park is a bit warmer! The evenings & early mornings are cold, so be sure to pack your gloves, beanie & a warm jacket for those game drives. At least it warms up nicely during the day, so by lunch time we should see you dancing around in shorts & a t-shirt!
We’ve received some really great feedback from one of Hielke’s previous guests - you can read more by clicking here.
With several groups on the road, the sightings have been brilliant!

Wow, amazing, the best! Thank you for another great tour.
Our guide Heilke was so amazing and only 24 years old. He has spent many years traveling in Kruger with his parents and his knowledge of flora and the animals and birds is amazing. Only Marlene and I were on the trip for the first 3 days and we had at least 9 hours in the park each day. We saw so many animal and birds that I was overwhelmed. We saw the big 5 in two days and then saw the Leopard, cheetah and Black Rhino next day. I never envisaged being so close to wild animals it was just awesome. I have the most amazing videos and photos from this area.

“Great Place to launch your South African experience”
Reviewed 16 July 2011
We stayed at the Outlook Lodge 2 nights around our safari with them. Francois and his staff were outstanding and very helpful. Bennet met us at the airport and assisted us on the short drive back to the lodge by swinging by the mall so we could purchase a few items. Breakfast was cooked specifically for us each morning. The rooms were large, clean, and well maintained.
Francois assisted us by providing suggestions for our day in JoBurg, lending Bennet to drive us around and topping it off he obtained a Fanta for our son when the lodge was out of stock.

“Francois and his staff were excellent!”
Reviewed 12 July 2011
The house is gorgeous, although the guest rooms could use some updating. The best part of the stay here (a two night stay before heading to Botswana) was the wonderful hospitality provided by Francois. He prepared great breakfasts and aided us in our plans to see as much of Johannesburg as we could in one day.
- Stayed June 2011, travelled as a couple

“Excellent location, even better service!”
Reviewed 6 July 2011
My husband and I stayed one night at the Outlook Lodge on a long layover in JoBerg before our 2PM flight to Nairobi. Francois and his sister picked us up at the airport right on time and took us to the Lodge. On the drive, he provided us with a lot of informative details about the area and South Africa in general.
