Good morning!

Kylie & her guests had a great day in Kruger Park on Friday with some really close encounters with some elephant, giving the guests great photo opportunities (see picture), with quite a lot of big kudu bulls showing off everywhere! They also had two different lion sightings about a kilometer apart. 2 huge males were just casually walking along the road, apparently following their 5 females, while the other two were stalking a huge herd of buffalo. Just as our guys got there, the buffalo caught wind of the lion & chased them into a huge gulley! The buffalo kept a close eye on the lion until they finally gave up to try another prey elsewhere!

Elephant heading for the picnic site

Elephant heading for the picnic site

Hielke and his guests had a great safari, coinciding with the lunar eclipse! Unfortunately they couldn’t send me photo pf the eclipse, but here is what they saw!

The leopard was sporting enough to show himself again! They also saw hippo out of the water, giraffe, rhino and elephant. While having breakfast at one of the picnic sites, an elephant kindly interrupted them, walking right through the picnic grounds!  A (not so gentle) reminder that the animals have right of way and even though you are allowed out of the vehicle at dedicated spots, you should always stay alert!

Good morning!

Hielke is on a roll again! Yesterday’s afternoon drive in the Kruger National Park produced 2 big male lions, Giraffe, Monkeys, elephants and some really big kudu bulls!

This morning kicked off with great excitement as the first thing they found on starting their drive was a leopard. The excitement wasn’t over as they had a great sighting of two cheetahs (our personal favorite as our logo might tell you..), white rhino, elephant and more big kudu bulls!
