Kruger sightings: 29 March 2011

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

With a storm brewing in the Kruger National Park, sightings included White Rhino, Giraffe, Kudu, Ground Hornbill and African Fish Eagle. The imminent storm is causing high humidity & temperatures and our guests are enjoying Skukuza’s swimming pool!

In camp we are getting frequent visits from a family of banded mongoose and the occasional monitor lizard. Three bush babies visit us every morning and evening, foraging for food - they particularly like the buffalo thorn tree right next to our mess tent!

Guest feedback

Karolina Klimova says:

‘The stay in Johannesburg was great! There is the unforgettable atmosphere of peace and quiet! You really feel yourself not like in the hotel, but like you stay with your friends! Accommodation, service and the attitude is really wonderful!!!
I managed to forget my laptop in the lodge and they brought it for me to the airport! It was really kind of them! ‘

I also wanted to again express my thanks for another night stay with you on the 30-January with my brother.  I again left with such a positive feeling about Outlook Lodge and Safaris, it was great to be able to meet Leonard as well this time.

NEW!! 2 Day Pilanesberg safaris

Monday, March 14th, 2011

Day 1: Gauteng – Pilanesberg

An early departure (07h00 – 07h30) allows us to reach the Park around mid-morning.

We enter the Park and start searching for wildlife. Accompanied by a professional Field guide, he/she will gladly divulge information on the park’s amazing diversity of wild- and plant life. We stop for lunch at the cafeteria in the Park (own expense) and continue with our game drive en-route to camp. After checking into your accommodation you have some time to go for a swim, purchase necessary items at the camp’s shop, or simply take a stroll around the camp to stretch your legs before the sunset/night drive.

Guest comments

There is nothing that can compare to comments from previous guests to convince prospective travellers which safari operator to choose!

We constantly receive feedback & encourage all our guests to share their experiences on public forums and of course send it to us too! Following is a copy of an email received this past week (unedited, escept for removing her last name)

My name is Catherine and I recently returned home to Australia after an amazing experience in Kruger Park.  I would just like to let you know how impressed I was with the level of knowledge and expertise that your team provided whilst I was on the 3 day and 4 night safari.
